We are looking for:

A Utility Operator to ensure the health, safety, security and protection of the environment are given the highest priority in all activities performed.

 

We count on you for: 

  • Ensure Solvay safety and IH procedures are being implemented
  • Safely operates high pressure boilers, compressors, cooling towers, refrigeration equipment, DI water processes and surfactant recovery equipment.
  • Perform control room functions including proficient operation of distributive control systems.
  • Coordinate operational and maintenance activities in the Utilities Areas
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all utilities area equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment for leaks and abnormalities
  • Monitor and operate all Safety, Environmental and Fire related equipment including monitoring equipment and alarms initiating emergency response notification as required.
  • Complete necessary equipment inspection in area of responsibility.
  • Complete required process equipment reading documentation as required
  • Complete all required operational and regulatory documentation as needed
  • Participate in safety meetings, JHA, HAZOPS and incident investigations
  • Prepare and maintain records in accordance with ISO 9001 and quality related plant safety certification requirements.
  • Prepare equipment for safe maintenance operations - compete safe work permits as required
  • Safely operate the Surfactant recovery system within the plants objectives
  • Ensure good housekeeping in assigned area
  • Properly clean equipment
  • Perform auxiliary duties as assigned by supervisor or management

You will bring:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Solvay Operator certification
  • Hazwoper, RCRA & DOT certification
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • State Boiler License (Blue seal or higher)
  • Process Tvpe 2 or Universal CFC Certification

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is  ($46.50 per hour). Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
