About the role

  • Our Global Business Development Team, composed of ten people, covering market development and technical marketing across Europe, Middle East, Africa, North America, and Asia Pacific, is integrated into the Merchant Hydrogen Peroxide Business Line, and focuses on new applications and commercial opportunity development in collaboration with cross functional, line and staff teams like Legal, Sales, and Supply Chain. Hydrogen peroxide is a versatile product with applications spanning markets of Oil and Gas, Water and the Environment, Mining, Agriculture, Chemicals, Electronics, and more.   
  • As a Market Development Manager for North America you will work on identifying business opportunities for Hydrogen Peroxide for new and existing applications, building relationships and strategic partnerships, and converting opportunities to execute growth initiatives. You will get the opportunity to contribute materially to the strategic and tactical position of the business line and have a large impact on business outcomes and growth.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Identifying and converting new opportunities in North America to achieve volume and contribution targets.
    • Inspiring and guiding cross functional teams, while proactively driving projects and tasks to a successful completion. 
    • Establishing relationships with prospective clients, through understanding pain points and developing tailor made value propositions.
    • Collaborating internally with various departments to best serve the clients including Industrial, Sales, Supply Chain, and Technical. 
    • Developing proposals and messaging to guide internal and external customers toward adding value.  
  • We offer a permanent contract based on a remote model based in the US. You must be able to travel up to 30% of your time. 

 

About you

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering is required, with a background in Mining and/or Wastewater processes and applications preferred.
  • Relevant work experience of a minimum of 3-5 years in a technical chemical position with commercial or customer-facing experience is essential.
  • Competencies:
    • Communication & Sales Leadership: Demonstrated strong interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of leading the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals. Possesses a track record of meeting deadlines and producing results.
    • Business Acumen & Project Management: Skilled in developing financial models, managing multiple projects and leads with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the right people are involved at the right stages.
    • Technical Proficiency & Adaptability: Proficient in G Suite, Excel, Powerpoint, and Salesforce, with a demonstrated curiosity and interest in technologies and products.

About the pay and benefits

 

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $91,000 to $111,000 per year, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
