We are looking for:

A Quality Engineer in Havre de Grace, MD.

 

We can count on you to:

  • Support production to monitor, reinforce and communicate customer issues, quality escapes and other systemic quality issues.  Leads Quality Area Improvement team for work cell.

  • Documents and tracks non-conformances for incoming materials, internal departments, and customers.

  • Analyzes quality issues and develops & facilitate corrective actions; including customer notifications, rework, waste and other costs of quality contributors.

  • Owner of quality documentations such as specifications, inspection documents, testing requirements, sampling plans, material test method configuration. 

  • Monitor product quality performance through SPC product parameters.

  • Support the site during customer visits and communications, i.e. results of specification review and corrective actions.

  • Actively participate in the site’s internal quality audit program.

  • Quality Engineers would provide training to support process monitoring, quality management system requirements and quality tools.

  • Lead and facilitate Quality Area Improvement Team in continuous improvement activities through use of lean and various engagement tools, including kaizen, workout, 5S and applicable problem solving methodology tools.

You will bring:

  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or a bachelors degree with background in raw material manufacturing, aerospace or chemical industries. 

  • Minimum 4 - 7 years Quality Engineering or Production Engineering experience.

  • Demonstrated problem solving ability to independently or collaboratively solve a complex problem.

  • Demonstrate organizational skills in the areas of project management, time management, and work prioritization.

  • ISO9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems

  • Plan, lead and conduct quality management system audits

  • Clearly communicate in English

  • Ability to interpret specifications

Competencies

  • Quality management systems, ISO9001/AS9100 requirements.

  • Problem Solving using various methodologies including 8D corrective action.

  • Knowledge of SPC

  • Quality Management Auditing

Desired Skills

  • APQP principles

 

 

You will get:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package

  • (Only for jobs posted in the US) The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $84,000 to $106,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
