About the role
 

  • Our Mine department, composed of approximately 176 people, is comprised of Mine Operations, Mine Utility and Tails, and Maintenance teams and focuses on safe and reliable operation and minimal downtime of all mine assets in collaboration with the overall mine production budget.
  • The Mine Mechanical Reliability Engineer will perform bad actor analysis and FMEA on equipment, while also driving predictive and preventative maintenance practices.  The reliability engineer will work closely with the mine maintenance scheduler, planners and supervisors to drive continuous improvement.  In addition, the reliability engineer will support the mine utility department. The reliability engineer will also work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure success of the mine.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Develop and maintain methods for autonomous, predictive, and preventative maintenance
    • Perform Root Cause Analysis(RCA) on equipment failures
    • Analyze overall equipment effectiveness for equipment
    • Serve as technical expert between operations and maintenance
    • Perform bad actor analysis of equipment
    • Perform FMEA on equipment
    • Maintain asset criticality list
    • Perform data analysis on equipment life and mean time between repair
    • Provide feedback for updating equipment and systems to make the mine more reliable
    • Updated PM frequencies based on PM findings and equipment reliability
  • We offer onsite working a 4/10 schedule.

 

About you

 

  • B.S. in Engineering
  • Mining industry experience
  • Customer and service based mindset
  • Knowledge of vibration analysis, lubrication analysis, material selection(metallurgy), equipment alignment techniques
  • Reading equipment drawings
  • Knowledge of SAP

About the pay and benefits

 

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the USA base pay reasonably expected for this role is $90,880/yr to $113,600/yr, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
