About the role
Our Technical Engineering department, composed of 5 people of highly qualified Engineering professionals supports a manufacturing facility focused on safe, high‑quality, and efficient production operations.
The Production (Process) Engineer’s primary role is to drive process optimization, quality improvement, and safety performance across manufacturing operations while supporting day‑to‑day production needs. They will lead continuous improvement initiatives from concept through implementation and serve as a technical expert for alumina and Nocolok manufacturing processes. This role will provide technical support to production and maintenance teams, manage process performance data, execute capital and improvement projects, and mentor engineering co‑op talent to strengthen future technical capabilities.
You will be accountable for:
- Process Optimization & Quality Leadership: Lead Six Sigma and Lean initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, implement SPC/SQC systems, and ensure long‑term sustainability of improvement projects. Serve as the subject matter expert for alumina and braze solution manufacturing, providing technical support to production, maintenance, and external customers.
- Operational Performance & Data Management: Manage and maintain the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) database, identify recurring causes of downtime, and drive corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and productivity.
- Project & Change Management: Execute capital and continuous improvement projects in accordance with site Management of Change (MOC) requirements and corporate engineering standards, from construction through performance demonstration.
- Safety, Health & Environmental Excellence: Act as a safety role model by participating in Behavioral Safety Observations (BSO), risk assessments, and safety training. Conduct safety audits, support incident investigations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented to mitigate EH&S risks.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Mentorship: Coach and mentor engineering co‑ops and operators on process understanding and professional development. Partner with Maintenance, Purchasing, contractors, and internal stakeholders to improve equipment reliability, spare parts strategy, and adoption of best practices.

About you
BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred. Minimum 5 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with preference given to experience in the chemical industry. At least 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within ISO 9001, food, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing environments.

About the pay and benefits
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is:

$87,500-$109,000 yearly in the United States.
Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
