About the role 

Our Chicago Heights team, composed of 40 people, is integrated into the Silica’s global business unit. 

 

As a Supply chain Manager, you will be responsible for the development, implementation and optimization of the physical raw material and finished product flows at the site level and at external warehouses. You will be accountable for: 

  • Overseeing the transportation, warehousing, packaging, and unloading/loading operations and making sure they all operate in a safe and efficient way while maintaining compliance with all regulations. 

  •  Direct reporting responsibility for leading a team of approximately 10 site logistics operators responsible for loading, packaging, and shipping finished products at the plant. 

  • Coordinating daily with the site team, including production, maintenance, quality and safety, to ensure efficient operations. 

  • Planning & coordinating the movement of raw materials, finished products and packaging operations on-site with safety as the top priority. 

  • Implementing supply chain improvement projects at the site level, including digital incentives for SAP, APS and TMS. 

 We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode. 
 

About you 
Relevant education degree or equivalent in engineering, business administration, supply chain/logistics. Relevant work experience in a chemical plant. 
 
Competencies: 

  • Knowledge of supply chain process and best practices 

  • Production scheduling experience 

  • ERP and planning systems experience (SAP, TNS, OMP experience is a plus)

About the pay 

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is $ 112,000 - $ 140,000 per year in the USA.

 

Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
