We are looking for:
The Sr. Scientist I supports the Coatings business segment of Syensqo Novecare at the R&I Center in Bristol, Pa. The position is devoted to the support of emulsion polymerization group via applying current technologies and existing products in new applications as well as supporting the development of new products for various applications in waterborne formulations.

- Conducting emulsion polymerization and perform testing for latex characterizations.
- Leading market and customer service projects
- Collaboration with global and regional R&I teams to facilitate innovation transfers.
- Providing technical training and technical support to customers.
- Supporting and working closely with business, marketing and commercial teams.
- Understanding market needs for new products, identify key opportunities with customers and initiate new projects.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area and follow Syensqo safety policies and standards.

You will bring:
- B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science. Higher degrees will be considered as well.
- 5+ years of experience in polymer synthesis especially latex synthesis.
- Strong experience working with products and technologies in emulsion polymerizations.
- Working knowledge of additives, surfactants and polymers used in the coatings, adhesives and construction materials markets
- Experience in waterborne formulations like coatings and adhesives is a plus.
- Customer support and technical service experience with surfactants and monomers for waterborne paint applications is preferred.
- Strong team player and excellent collaboration skill.
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.

- The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $90,880 to $113,600 per year
- Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
