We are looking for:
The Site Human Resources (HR) Business Partner directs the human resources function for almost 250 union and non-union employees at our Research and Innovation (R&I) sites. This position will work collaboratively with employees, leaders, a union, and members of the human resources team and will support a broad range of human resource activities including talent management and development, employee engagement, performance management, recruitment and selection, HR compliance, training, policy development, labor relations and interpretation, and compensation planning. Employees consist primarily of R&I Scientists and Engineers as well as Commercial professionals. The sites are based in Bristol, PA, Stamford, CT, Tempe, AZ, and Cambridge, MA.
We can count on you to:
- Partner with the Leadership Teams and managers at each site
- Protect the interests of employees in accordance with human resources policies and appropriate governmental laws and regulations
- Provide counsel to employees and leadership on conflict resolution, discipline, and terminations. Investigate causes of disputes and recommend resolutions and/or corrective action.
- Partner with senior management to provide information on significant morale and employee relations problems that jeopardize the achievement of company objectives
- Influence and coach leaders on talent development, performance management, and organizational development
- Make the business case, gain support for and lead specific HR Programs or initiatives Assist in the development of HR philosophies, approaches, and policies to ensure consistent application and equitable implementation
- Foster an environment of employee engagement and promote effective human resources practices to minimize potential liability and risk and further a positive environment.
- Initiate and recommend policies and procedures necessary to achieve the objectives of the organization and ensure maximum utilization and retention of talent
- Provide leadership, guidance, and/or training to leaders and employees in areas such as talent development, succession and organizational planning, team effectiveness, and interpretation of policies
- Direct annual compensation processes for salaried merit and hourly pay increases by measuring and establishing competitive pay rates in conjunction with the Compensation and Benefits Team
- Direct employee relations activities
- Remain aware of the latest trends and legal/regulatory changes affecting HR practices
- Manage priorities based on impact on the organization
- Be based close to Bristol, PA, or Stamford, CT, and be able to travel on occasion to the other sites.

You will bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Business, Psychology or a related field.
- PHR or SHRM-CP is desired
- 2+ years of related experience in human resources
- Technical skills; including experience with Kronos, Microsoft Excel, and Google Suite.

- The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $95,000.00 to $135,000.00 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
