We are looking for:
A Production Superintendent to direct the safe and efficient operation of the production unit(s) assigned, upholding HSE standards and ensuring compliance with HSE policies and procedures. Establish and drive plant performance indicators, including raw material and energy usage, fixed and capital spending, and overall equipment efficiency.
We can count on you to:

Respond to electronic inquiries/memos regarding unit operations, maintenance, and safety concerns

Direct and coordinate, either directly or through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the production of site products
-
Confer with management to establish production and quality control standards
-
Utilize knowledge of equipment and machine capabilities to develop action plans to increase the reliability of the unit
-
Anticipate problems and create opportunities to form action plan(s) for obtaining and achieving production and quality goals, and surpassing unit standards
-
Obtain data regarding quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products to internal customers ( Treatment Services, Shipping and Receiving, and CathyVal)

Plan and direct production activities, and establish production priorities for products to stay on target with effective operations and cost factors
-
Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production, and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment
-
Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine the causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems
-
Compile operational data, and display using graphs to facilitate and enhance unit personnel performance

Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality

Track the procedure and process changes on all Managing of Change forms to document, to appropriate personnel, the coordination and communication of the stages of change implementation till completion

Revise production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems, consulting with engineering, maintenance personnel, or any other resources related to the modification of the machines and equipment in order to improve the production and quality of unit products

Coordinate the turnaround itinerary with the appropriate personnel to ensure the delivery of appropriate equipment and materials, and the utilization of human resources to effectively resolve or prevent equipment failure, and improve the overall performance of the unit

Review the Incident database and reports to determine the cause of incidents, and develop causal trees as needed

Document initial incident situations pictorially, and track the implementation of each resolution to ensure closure and the abatement of the initial cause

Monitor safety performances and housekeeping within the unit daily
-
Perform biweekly assessments of outfall groundwater
-
Maintain a good rapport with unit personnel through daily direct communication regarding operational, maintenance, or safety issues
-
Conduct meetings to resolve or effect the resolution of grievances between management and employees and union representatives

Recommend personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures

Identify training needs and make recommendations

Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in specific plant location or per job task specification

Identify training needs and make recommendations

Utilize knowledge of product technology, production methods, and procedures to develop short-term and long-term solutions regarding maintenance issues within the unit.

You will bring:

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
And
-
6 - 8+ years operational experience in the chemical industry, related manufacturing industry

Must be able to pass a respiratory fit test
Or
-
An equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Experience managing a team in an industrial environment is preferred.

Must have (TWIC) Transportation Worker Identification Credential.

Excellent organizational and communication skills
-
Ability to use computers and computer systems navigate, setup functions, enter data, and process information
-
Proficient with Google Suite, and Microsoft Office

- The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $125,000 - $145,000/annually. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
