We are looking for:

Automotive Account Manager- Composite Materials 

 

We count on you for: 

  • You will build positive and professional relationships with customers/clients to ensure that we provide a positive Customer Experience when dealing with Syensqo. 
  • Maintaining high levels of interaction and engagement with the customer, through frequent face to face contact.
  • Understanding the Voice of the customer and translating input and feedback into tangible and actionable plans to develop customer intimacy.
  • Maintaining, protecting and growing sales volume and revenue at existing customers. 
  • Support Business Development activities through a collaborative team approach identifying and securing new business opportunities, ensuring the best possible returns for the GBU 
  • Formulating, developing and implementing an approved sales strategy at strategic accounts. 
  • Maintaining an updated formal strategy file and regional project status.
  • Support Project Management for product and process qualification programs to support growth. 
  • Initiating the internal qualification process, and leading Syensqo activities at the customer. 
  • Initiating and managing technical support activities.  Monitoring and reporting program progress to management on an appropriate basis.
  • Protect Syensqo commercial interests by ensuring that long-term agreements are in place with all major customers. 
  • Utilizing commercial skills to implement contractual terms and conditions that are consistent with goals and objectives and protect exclusive source agreements.
  • Provide reliable customer and market information and communicate appropriately throughout the organization.  
  • Other responsibilities include regular sales forecast updates, monthly reports, customer visit reports and project/program updates. 

 

You will bring:

  • Demonstrable experience in Sales preferably in the automotive advanced materials sector (5+ years).
  • Business / Technical Degree preferred.
  • Microsoft Office & Google suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets...) literacy & competency.
  • Excellent communication, and organization skills.
  • Highly motivated with a real drive for results. 
  • Exemplary communication and management skills in order to deal with complex technical and commercial issues at customers and all internal departments.
  • Meet and exceed the regional sales budget
  • Harvesting, interpreting and communicating customer forecast requirements
  • Team/Project management of complex programs leading to growth.
  • Formulation, development and implementation of complex sales strategies.
  • Exceed Customer expectations in terms of service and support

 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Responsible for executing the sales function within the established area of responsibility, and exceeding customer expectations in terms of service and support.
  • Formulating, developing and achieving the annual sales budget for the region. 
  • Responsible for achieving the plan in sales and earnings. 
  • Responsible for reporting variances to plan in monthly reports or more frequently if applicable.
  • Supporting and challenging Product Managers in the proposal and pricing process by providing market and commercial insight. 
  • Work within the parameters of the quotation process to recommend and establish target-selling prices and obtain necessary approvals. 
  • This includes compiling the supporting data, pricing strategy and contractual framework required developing the basis and formatting on complex multi-year proposals. Ensure that flow down requirements are communicated to purchasing to ensure contracts are put in place to support long term agreements. 
  • Follow-up and report on a monthly basis the status of key quotations and proposals. 
  • Communicating to the organization the outcome of negotiations and ensuring that contract copies are appropriately circulated.
  • Communicate significant account activities to the organization on an appropriate basis.
  • Manage the customer and competitor database such that all trends and subsequent actions can be anticipated and acted upon.
  • Support business, marketing and Business Development persons in the development and implementation of business line strategies. 
  • This includes intelligence on programs, competitive pricing, customer needs, target product requirements and market trends, as well as product and strategy implementation.  

 

You will get:

  •  The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $90,880 to $113,600 per year.
  • Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range.
  • Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives. 
  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations.
