About the role

Our Solvay Peroxythai – MTP team, composed of 33 people, is integrated in the Production department and focuses on Sodium Bicarbonate manufacturing in collaboration with Maintenance, HSE, and Supply Chain.

As a Production Engineer, you will operate in a function role that combines Production and Process Engineering. Your primary mission is to ensure the plant runs safely, efficiently, and reliably on a day-to-day basis. At the same time, you will serve as the technical process expert for the unit driving optimization, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting sustainable improvements. You will be accountable for:

• Process Excellence: Monitor and analyze daily production parameters (yield, energy consumption, mass balance) to ensure good operational efficiency.
• HSE & Quality Leadership: Ensure the production team and process strictly comply with HSE and Quality standards; lead Management of Change (MOC) for technical improvements.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and propose initiatives that reduce waste, enhance competitiveness, and lower manufacturing cost.
• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate process deviations or quality off‑specs using structured tools to establish effective CAPA and make it happens.
• Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting support for complex DCS/process issues and act as technical lead during normal operations, startups, shutdowns, turnarounds and emergency situation.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Serve as the technical liaison between Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and external technology suppliers.

We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.

About you

Relevant education degree or equivalent in Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or related engineering field. Relevant work experience in 2–5 years of experience in chemical, petrochemical, or related industrial manufacturing.

Competencies:

• Basic Engineering skills: Able to read and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, and process flow charts with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
• Process Monitoring Skills: Capable of analyzing production parameters and trends using tools such as Excel, Minitab, or similar data‑analysis platforms.
• Language Proficiency: Good command of English for technical documentation and communication; fluent in Thai for daily operations and cross‑functional coordination.
• Operational Flexibility: Willing and able to support urgent technical shutdowns, process upsets, and operational coverage when required.

About the pay

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is:

● THB 74,794- THB 93,323 per month in Thailand, Rayong
