About the role
Our Treasury Operations team, composed of 8 people, is integrated into the Treasury Service Unit department focuses on delivering Finance support to the European and Middle East region in collaboration with our Global Business Services and the whole Solvay group.
As a Treasury Operations Trainee you will learn the treasury operations related activities such as bank account reconciliations, deal confirmation and settlements in the EMEA region and In-House-Bank. In addition, you will get the opportunity to support the team in monitoring and reporting the bank fees and learn more about banking systems and international business, involving multi-currency transactions.
You will be accountable for:

Cash & forex management: Cash release to banks requested by Corporate Treasury and other departments; check FX exposure & counterparty risks in the respect of the limits set by Risk Management and daily bank account reconciliations

Controls and Compliance: Compliance of Treasury operations with group governance, global & local regulation and follow-up internal controls in scope

Projects: Review bank fees statements & follow up of fees discrepancies with contracts and contribute to Treasury project (Data management review, account rationalization, implementation of SAP4HANA)
We offer an internship (12 months) contract based on hybrid (2 days per week onsite) mode.
About you
Relevant education degree or equivalent in Finance.
Competencies:

Fluency in English

Google/Microsoft Suites knowledge (with SAP as a plus)

Familiarity with the requirements and complexities of global payments transactions (of which Swift, banking tools…) is a plus.

About the pay
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is:
- €940 - €1040 per month in Portugal
