About the role

  • Our Treasury team, composed of 8 people, is integrated into the Corporate Treasury department and focuses on bank account management and treasury tools in collaboration with global banking partners.
  • As a Treasury Tools & Bank Account Manager, you will work on bank account management, treasury tools, and be responsible for risk management and compliance to support the operation and compliance of Solvay's treasury infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to contribute to key treasury projects and have a positive impact on the efficiency and security of financial operations.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Overseeing the creation and closure of Solvay group bank accounts worldwide.
    • Interfacing with banks for account maintenance, including KYC processes and updating POAs.
    • Setting up and maintaining bank account-related services such as cash-pooling, communication, and e-banking systems (EBS).
    • Administering the central repository for Solvay bank accounts (Aodocs eBAM) and managing treasury archives.
    • Conducting yearly bank account circulation with external auditors and participating in co-development initiatives with banking partners.
    • Uploading and controlling market data in FIS Quantum & SAP, maintaining static data, and managing treasury vendor payments.
    • Enforcing internal controls, supervising audits, and overseeing treasury KPIs.
    • Conducting competitive intelligence on treasury technologies, participating in the SAP rebuild project, and engaging in strategic projects such as AI.
  • We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode.

 

About you

  • Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration.
  • Experience in the treasury or finance field within a large corporate or banking environment.
  • Competencies:
    • Fluency in English
    • Familiarity with banking technologies (Swift, digital, new payment types).
    • Experience with SAP, Treasury Management Systems (eg. Quantum), Bank Account Management tools, payment platforms, and the Swift environment is a plus.
    • Project and change management skills in finance, as well as risk management expertise.
  • Behaviors:
    • High level of rigor, attention to detail and a fast learner with a proactive attitude
    • Ability to manage an intercultural team (1 specialist and 1 trainee)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (presentations, documents)
    • Strong data analytical skills, critical thinking, and a customer-oriented mindset.

 

About the Pay and Benefits:

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While Portugal’s country base pay reasonably expected for this role is 34,510 EUR to 40,000 EUR, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
