About the role

  • Our Development & Data Factory team is integrated in the Digital Technology (DT) department.
  • As a Software Engineer, you will ensure the robustness, scalability, and assist in delivering business value of the organization’s by designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality applications to meet the business needs.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code for new and existing applications.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver software that meets business needs.
    • Testing and debugging applications to ensure optimal functionality and performance, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance team.
    • Maintaining and updating existing software to adapt to new requirements or technologies.
    • Implementing security measures and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and the security & risk management processes and policies.
    • Assisting in technical support and collaborating with the End-User Services CoE for any specialised support queries requiring configuration, customization or code development.
    • Participating in root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions for software quality improvements.
  • We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.

 

About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Relevant work experience in Software Development or Application Engineering.
  • Competencies:
    • Expert in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
    • Deep knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies to ensure timely and quality delivery of projects, e.g., by contributing to user acceptance testing.
    • Extensive expertise in debugging, testing, and optimizing code to enhance software performance and reliability.
    • High-Level SAP ERP Knowledge.
    • ITSM process knowledge to support our ITSM software (Developments & Settings).
    • Experience in Middleware tools/team (Critical part in our ECOSystem).

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Portugal) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 38 960 euros to 58 400 euros, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
