About the role
- Our Local Payroll Expertise team for Italy, Portugal, Spain, Bulgaria, Poland, composed of 7 payroll Specialist positions (3 in Italy, 1 in Spain, 1 Bulgaria, 1 Portugal, 1 Poland, is integrated in the Global Payroll and Time department and focuses on delivering Local Payroll Expertise for the 5 countries.
- As a Payroll Expertise Team Leader for those 5 countries, reporting to the Payroll Manager for Local Payroll Expertise teams, you will lead a team of experts staying up to date with local payroll legal, regulatory and tax rules, training and supporting the Global Payroll Operations team.
- You will be accountable for:
- Ensuring that all the time & payroll activities are delivered on time with a high level of accuracy
- Act as a Team Leader for 5 countries, but also acting as Global Payroll expert for the payroll process
- Analyzing new legislation and HR agreements in the 5 countries with support of local payroll Experts, assess their impact on the Global and local processes, and create detailed functional specifications (e.g. for change requests)- ensuring the maintenance of the legal rules in the payroll process and system
- Provide updated documentation, expertise and support to colleagues and internal stakeholders (Global Payroll Operations, Business HR, Employees, Managers…)
- Participate in Payroll projects (e.g. payroll transformation; transversal payroll and time) and support in local implementation
- Apply the performance management on the scope of her/his activities - KPI / SLAs monitoring - Develop and maintain a KPI-driven team, ensuring the Timeliness & Accuracy of the payroll in the countries in its scope
- Manage the relationship with the payroll external provider for local concerns
- We offer a permanent contract with hybrid working mode.
About you
- Bachelor in accounting, finance, human resources or a related field.
- Strong experience in one of the 5 countries in an industrial context.
- Payroll knowledge in one of the 5 countries is a plus.
- Competencies:
- Fluency in English and Portuguese. Italian fluency is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of HR systems such as SAP HR, payroll systems and time management systems.
- Comfortable managing large amounts of data, an advanced user of Spreadsheets (e.g. Excel) and reports.

About the pay and benefits
- Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country base pay reasonably expected for this role is 40.000 € to 48.000 €, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
