About the role
- Solvay Secured Network Team provides a complete and seamless set of network and security services, covering all Solvay industrial and non industrial sites over the world (70 user sites, including 40 plants, 5 Data Centers, Cloud services). Secured Network Team is part of Solvay Digital Technology Infrastructure team.
- The technical environment includes: Wifi, LAN, SD-WAN, SSE, Internet Access, Local FW, Central security for Remote and Cloud Access.
- All operations Network and Security operations are delivered by a Network Operation Center. The Local Connectivity Service Owner is in charge of:
- Managing the Local Area Network (LAN, WIFI and IP Asset Management) and securing the service delivery (SLA).
- Managing the services provided in his scope (NOC).
- Managing the inventory, lifecycle, upgrade and modernization of the Local Network devices, respecting the Security and Business needs.
- Managing the lifecycle of the catalog of devices, configurations and network segmentation.
- Managing costs, budget and procurement process, service or vendor contracts.
- Managing technical documentation and building and optimizing a LAN Service Catalog for our internal customers.
- Building and improving the Knowledge Article Database on the LAN perimeter.
- Working transversally with different pools/silos that rely on our LAN services (Plant Evolution Projects, Industrial Needs, etc).
- Collaborating with OT Network Engineers and DT Site Managers/DT Site Engineers to review the local connectivity requirements and provide the connectivity services accordingly.
- Ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements for local networks.
- We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.
About you
- Relevant education degree or equivalent in Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable field.
- Relevant work experience in Local Connectivity Management or LAN Operations.
- Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Local Area Network applied to a Cisco environment.
- ITIL Service Management.
- Experience with Manufacturing/Industrial/Chemical-centered environments.
- Network Architecture (LAN, WLAN, Good Practices, Standards, etc).
- Technologies Cisco WLAN/LAN/ISE/DNA Center, Cisco Certification.
- Expert in configuring, managing and supporting local area network (LAN) services to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance across organizational sites.
- Expert in complying with given governance, managing risk and assuring overall connectivity quality.
- Proficient in managing vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs to ensure cost-effective and high-quality network services.

About the pay and benefits
- Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Portugal) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 46 720 euros to 58 400 euros, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
