About the role
- Our Product Regulations & Stewardship (PRS) team, composed of 40 people, is integrated in the HSER department and focuses on the compliant, safe and sustainable use of our products worldwide in line with Solvay’s Responsible Care commitment.
- As a GBU Global Product Steward you will manage Product Stewardship activities to support the GBU Silica and Special Chem - Rare Earth. You will get the opportunity to work in collaboration with other experts (in the GBU, Sustainability, Legal, HSER and all the PRS teams) and contribute to a positive impact in Solvay’s Chemical Industry compliance.
- You will be accountable for:
- Be the primary point of contact between the Product Regulations and Stewardship team and the GBU, keep the GBU informed on current and emerging Product Safety topics and eventual issues;
- Complete regulatory assessments for new and existing products in the portfolio, to enable products to be marketed to required regulatory and safety standards;
- Managing the implementation and maintenance of Product Stewardship practices in the various markets where GBU's products operate;
- Work closely with marketing & R&I teams to provide regulatory input into innovation and market growth projects;
- Represent Solvay in REACH and REACH like consortia meetings (often in the position of consortium chairman) ensuring worldwide consistency in the studies and dossiers presented for the same substance
- We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode.
About you
- Master degree, preferably in Science or engineering area
- Minimum of 3 years in regulatory affairs role.
- Competencies:
- Good knowledge of chemistry is essential
- Experience in regulatory affairs and/or product safety is mandatory
- Experience and knowledge on nanoparticles regulations and defense. Knowledge on sensitive market regulations like food, feed, cosmetics, …
- Behaviors:
- Ability to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders at different technical levels
- Strong organization skills: ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Highly motivated, results driven with unyielding predisposition to detail, accuracy and clarity
About the pay and benefits
- Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Portugal) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 58 400 euros to 73 000 euros, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
