Job Overview and Responsibilities

Syensqo is creating its internal Global Business Services (GBS) to cover Finance, Procurement and Human Resources activities.  We offer you to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment and to contribute to this group’s transformation.

The AP Service Owner is accountable for service offer definition, design, performance, improvements, automation, result, satisfaction and optimizing the cost to deliver. 

 

Key Responsibilities of Service Owner:


 

  •  Service Ownership
    • Ensure that the vision and strategic direction of the service delivery model is linked to Syensqo strategy
    • Design, improve and document services/processes to achieve business and users’ objectives in the most efficient and compliant way
    • Contribute to Group policy and compliance rules definition
    • Define Service Level Agreement and related KPIs to reach user needs and best-in-class ambition
    • Benchmark to ensure alignment with World Class organization, process optimization and digitalization and best practices
    • Define the best make & buy approach and select the required external services to support the process
    • Ensure contracts management of outsourced services
    • Drive collaboration and process change management between all functions and businesses
    • Unlock cross-functional synergies, new capabilities, technology, efficiencies to achieve new savings
    • Ensure prioritization on projects and Continuous Improvement initiatives to leverage the resources
    • User experience management: design, capture and improve user satisfaction and feedback
    • Define Internal controls


 

  • Technology assessment, innovation and investment
  • Act as functional / product owner of tools and applications supporting the process
  • In charge of building business case that require budget for service/process enhancements
  • Work closely with stakeholders and internal partner, IT, RPA, Data and project teams on solution development
  • Be aware about the latest technology innovation in the domain


 

  • Create trusting partnership with stakeholders (internal or external)
  • Be known and recognized by BSA stakeholders as Service Owner in the appropriate domain
  • Take ownership and create, maintain and be active in networking
  • Initiate and maintain improved collaboration, within the Service Unit and across GBS/BSA organization, to accelerate improvement


 

  • Staff Management (optional depending on domain)
  • Set priorities and/or plan work for a weekly or daily schedule
  • Ensure that team output is in line with applicable delivery indicators, quality, deadlines, cost and work in line with group standards (e.g. Health and Safety)
  • Organize and assess work of the team
  • Ensure team member development and career progression
  • Inform, train, motivate, coach all team members to facilitate their growth
  • Promote spirit of accountability, speak up to act as problem solver
  • Ensure business continuity and backups are in place
  • Ensure or perform training activities (ex: onboarding of new employees in the team)

 

Education and Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline
  • Possess at least 10 years of experience in procurement or purchasing domains
  • Provisioning background
  • Service/Process design experience
  • Project Management experience
