About the role 

  • Our Digital Enablement team is integrated in the Digital Technology (DT) department and represents the major point of interaction with the business operations.
  • As a DT Manager Finance & Procurement. you will ensure the robustness, scalability, and efficiency of IT services and solutions supporting operations by leading technology initiatives, fostering collaboration, and aligning IT services with operational objectives.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Team Leadership: Leading and building a team of high-performing Business, Technical, and Data Analysts.
    • Financial Management: Managing, owning, and tracking the finances of business operations-specific IT applications, including budgeting and forecasting.
    • IT Service Delivery: Overseeing the delivery of IT services and solutions, managing contracts and providers, managing change requests, and support activities.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Working with business stakeholders to identify technology needs and opportunities, and developing long-term roadmaps with Solution and Enterprise Architects.
    • Digital Implementation: Leading the implementation of digital tools and platforms to enhance business operations, collaborating with Centers of Expertise for complex changes.
    • Ensuring thorough risk management within Solvay's framework, auditability of operations through documentation, and compliance with applicable policies.
  • We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode.

 

About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Relevant work experience in IT Management, Business Operations Technology, or Digital Transformation Leadership.
  • Specific expertise:
    • Senior expertise SAP FI/CO + BPC (+10) ECC6.0 and S4 Hana.
    • Deep knowledge & experience on Finance, FP&A, Tax, Treasury domains and related DT components.
    • Senior expertise SAP MM  ECC6.0 and S4 Hana.
    • Deep Knowledge & experience on Sourcing,  Provisioning, Account Payable, Travel & Expense domains and related DT Components/solutions.
    • Experience with SRM7, SAP Ariba Commerce automation & e-auction, SAP Concur, Readsoft.
    • Expertise in Ent to End processes for this scope of activity and discussing with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Competencies:
    • IT Demand Management: Expertise in managing demand for IT services and solutions.
    • Programme & Project Support: Deep knowledge in defining requirements and managing feasibility.
    • Stakeholder Relationships: Extensive experience in collaborating with business leaders to identify technology needs and deliver tailored solutions.
    • IT Project Management: Advanced proficiency in managing IT projects to enhance operational efficiency and user satisfaction (both waterfall and agile).
    • Performance Monitoring: Experience in defining and monitoring KPIs for IT services and solutions.
    • Budget Management: Proficiency in managing budgets and facilitating investment appraisals.
    • Emerging Technologies: Adept at integrating AI, RPA, and analytics to innovate business processes.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Basic familiarity with standards like GDPR or SOX to ensure IT solutions meet organizational requirements.

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Portugal) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 70.960 euros to 88.700 euros, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
