About the role
- As Country Site HR Manager, you will lead and manage the HR function at our Service Center in Carnaxide, Lisbon. In this pivotal role, you will drive our People and Capabilities strategy, partner closely with local business and function leaders, and foster a vibrant and engaged workforce. This is a unique opportunity to animate the HR function in Lisbon and play a key role in the ambitious transformation journey to build the new Solvay.
- You will be accountable for:
- Strategic HR Leadership:
- Drive strategic people initiatives aligned with Solvay's global HR strategy.
Implement and champion HR policies and best practices within the service center.
Foster a culture of open communication and constructive social dialogue.

- Business Partnership:
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to site management and local business/function leaders.
- Provide expert HR guidance and support to drive business performance.
- Cultivate a leader-led mindset, empowering managers to effectively lead their teams.
- Talent Development and Capabilities:
- Lead the deployment of people development programs and initiatives to enhance employee capabilities.
- Identify and address talent gaps to support current and future business needs.
- Labor and Employee Relations:
- Manage labor and employee relations within the assigned perimeter, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Proactively address employee concerns and foster a positive work environment.
- Strategic HR Leadership:
- We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a senior HR management role, preferably within a multinational organization.
- Fluent Portuguese and English
- Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws and employee relations practices in Portugal.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience in change management is key.
- Behaviors:
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build solid relationships at all levels.
About the pay and benefits
- Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the Portugal base pay reasonably expected for this role is 58,400€ to 73,000€, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
