About the role
Our Accounts Payable team, composed of 14 people, is integrated in the Procurement Service Line and focuses on delivering accounts payable operations in collaboration with other Accounts Payable teams, as well as other departments, such as Finance. 

As an Accounts Payable Representative, you will work on performing transactional operations on a day-to-day basis, according to operational procedures, respecting service, quality and customer satisfaction targets to support the whole Procurement department.

You will get the opportunity to contribute to the success of our Global Business Services and have a positive impact on the whole Solvay Group.

You will be accountable for:

• Invoice and credit note postings
• Perform internal controls
• Perform account reconciliations
• Error treatment
• Correct processing of data and maintenance of the system
• Day-to-day interaction with internal and external stakeholders
• Problem-solving and escalation

• We offer a fixed-term 9-month contract based on a hybrid working mode.

About you

• Relevant education degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Relevant work experience in Global Business Services is a plus. 

Competencies:

• Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
• Google Tools Knowledge (Excel sheets)
• SAP Knowledge is a plus

About the pay and benefits

• Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While Portugal’s base pay reasonably expected for this role is 1100 to 1400 EUR, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
