As the Middleware Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining middleware solutions that enable seamless communication and integration between databases, servers and applications. This is a unique opportunity to architect and shape the future of middleware solutions in the cloud and on-premise environment.

We count on you for:

• Act as the primary point of contact for middleware-related issues, offering guidance and technical expertise to project teams
• Overseeing that middleware solutions and components are up to date with patches, upgrades and version changes to maintain performance and security
• Work closely with other IT stakeholders, solution architects, cybersecurity, system administrators when designing middleware solutions that enable efficient data flow and communication between servers, databases and applications
• Managing the complete lifecycle of middleware solutions, from deployment and updates to decommissioning and replacement
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for middleware configurations, integration workflows and change management processes
• Diagnose and resolve complex middleware-related issues that impact database, server or application functionality
• Implement monitoring and logging tools for real-time and historical analysis of middleware, database and server health
• Lead and contribute to the creation of middleware standards, guidelines and best practices for the organization
• Identify areas for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and reduce manual workloads

Education and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications would be a plus.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in middleware administration, database integration or server management, preferably in a multinational complex setting
• In-depth knowledge of middleware technologies and infrastructure management
• Proficiency in middleware platforms, including installation, configuration and performance tuning (eg: Oracle, Apache Tomcat, JDK…)
• Knowledge of integration protocols and standards (eg: REST, SOAP, ODBC, JDBC..)
• Familiarity with security practices including SSL/TLS encryption, authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (eg: Splunk, Chronicle) and automation tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Gitlab Pipeline
• Cybersecurity Expertise:
• - Understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and frameworks.
• - Knowledge of encryption, identity management, access controls, and other security measures within cloud environments.
• Experience in managing complex technology migrations and lifecycle management.
• Project management skills to plan and execute cloud-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
• Agile or other project management methodologies experience is a plus
