As the Performance Monitoring Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the continuous monitoring, analysis and optimization of systems, networks, applications and business processes to ensure optimal performance and operational efficiency. This is a unique opportunity to architect and shape the future full-stack performance monitoring, from cloud infrastructure to applications.
We count on you for:
- Design, implement and manage performance monitoring systems and tools for networks, applications, databases, servers and other critical IT and business systems
- Collect, analyze and interpret performance data to identify trends, patterns and areas of improvement, providing insights to key stakeholders
- Quickly detect, diagnose and resolve performance issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring high availability of systems and applications
- Generate detailed performance reports, dashboards and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations and ongoing performance levels
- Work closely with IT, development, operations and business teams to ensure alignment on performance goals and troubleshoot efforts
- Proactively recommend and implement solutions to optimize system performance, improve efficiency and enhance user experience
- Analyze trends to forecast system demands and recommend adjustments to capacity, scaling and resources based on future needs
- Stay current with industry best practices, new tools and emerging technologies in performance monitoring and optimization
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications would be a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in performance monitoring, analysis or optimization role
- Experience with industry-standard performance monitoring tools (eg: Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, AppDynamics)
- Experience with cloud platforms (eg: AWS Cloudwatch, Azure Monitor) is a plus
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools for building reports and dashboards
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation is beneficial
- Knowledge of network and server infrastructure, virtualization and cloud environments
- Cybersecurity Expertise:
- - Understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and frameworks.
- - Knowledge of encryption, identity management, access controls, and other security measures within cloud environments.
