About the role

Our Industrial Controlling team for Soda Ash, composed of 7 people, is integrated in the Industrial Controlling department and focuses on Cost Control in collaboration with the Plant Management.

As a site controller, you will work on Cost Control, Forecasting and facilitating decision making, giving support to plant Management and the GBU. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the Cost Efficiency in the site and have a positive impact on the result of the site and the GBU.

You will be accountable for:

Monitor internal developments and market trends within the perimeter.

Prepare annual operating plans and maintain rolling forecasts.

Coordinate forecasting processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams for the annual budget.

Provide GBU Industrial Controller with key data (fixed/variable costs, capex, inventories, KPIs).

Track budget vs. actuals, hold accountability meetings, and report material variances.

Ensure accuracy of cost figures and P&L reporting; submit financial transactions promptly.

Analyze monthly financial results and KPIs, explaining performance trends to management.

Conduct monthly reviews of labor, maintenance, material, overhead, and inventory costs; offer improvement recommendations.

Manage product costing in collaboration with SAP team; analyze variances and ensure accurate bills of materials.

Periodically audit bills of materials and update cost structures to meet business needs.

Support CAPEX projects, monitor post-implementation performance, and report to management.

Attend production meetings, discuss costing issues, and support financial projects.

Perform internal controls and ensure compliance with Group Finance standards; promote awareness within the site.

About you
-
Relevant education degree or equivalent in Bachelor or Master in Business administration, Economics, Accounting or Finance Degree (e.g. CPA).

Relevant work experience in 3-5 years of Controlling in manufacturing context.

Competencies:

Strong analytical capabilities – Project management and cross-functional communication skills.
-
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports and projections with a strong attention to detail in accordance with the Group management cycles calendar. And the ability to analyze financial results and suggest a plan for improvement where needed.

Must have strong technical and analytical skills with a solid cost accounting background.

Ability to monitor budget vs. actual and implement monitoring through appropriate cross functional teams.

Deliver timely accurate financial information, challenge & advice to plant management team for decision making.

Strength with collaboration tools like google suite ( sheets, doc, etc) ; Demonstrated SAP, Business Warehouse knowledge a must, dashboarding tools like Qlik Sense is a plus.

Ability to multitask and function in a matrix organization is a must.

About the pay and benefits

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the German base pay reasonably expected for this role is
€95000 to €115000, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives. -
