About the role

  • We are looking for an Industrial Controller for the Global Business Unit (GBU) Soda Ash & Derivatives (SA&D). In this role you will act as a business partner who will support the Operations team to focus on the performance and facilitate the decision-making process. You will report to the Head of Industrial Controlling. 
  • This offers a unique opportunity for joining Solvay as a key Finance partner with global responsibilities in a context of transformation.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Leading a team of 7 Site Controllers 
    • Partnering with Operations and Business to deliver performance and to elaborate options
    • Providing financial guidance and insights, clearly communicating about the overall performance
    • Driving and leading both the performance and management cycle for the relevant scope (monthly results, forecasting, action plan follow-up)
    • Working in close collaboration with the Finance function
    • Ensure efficient processes and reliability of figures, mostly around OPEX, but also Working Capital and CAPEX
    • Ensuring compliance with IFRS norms as needed and with the steering of internal controls
    • Successfully support on competitiveness and excellence projects
  • We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode

 

About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in finance.
  • Relevant ~15 years experience in Controlling
  • Competencies:
    • Experience in FP&A, good understanding of actual costing, P&L, price volume cost analysis, cost accounting, investment profitability
    • SAP knowledge, IFRS, strong international exposure and network, Solvay internal rules: Tax, Transfer Price, Reporting, etc
    • Ability to lead and develop a team
    • English fluency

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the France base pay reasonably expected for this role is 95,200€ to 119,000€, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
