About the role
The Construction Manager oversees all activities of the on-site team in accordance with applicable regulations, the HSE rules defined for the project, and technical specifications, with the aim of achieving the project’s objectives in terms of safety, quality, and adherence to budget and schedule.
The Construction Manager reports to the SOLVAY Project Manager and manages the project’s activities on site. The project site is located in Pont-de-Claix (Isère, France).
With the support of team members, the Solvay Project Manager, and the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for:

Implementing and ensuring compliance with HSE governance on the site, and ensuring that project-specific HSE rules are understood, applied, and consistently followed by everyone present on site.

Preparing and drafting work plans and risk assessments prior to the start of work, as well as signing documents authorizing the execution of activities.

Relying on the technical expertise of the engineering consultancy “ERM” to ensure the quality of the work and facilitate its acceptance in line with the execution sequence.

Reporting any agenda’s deviations to the Project Manager.

Working to defend SOLVAY’s interests with the companies selected to carry out the work.
We offer a fixed-term contract of 6 months, renewable, based on an on-site working model in Pont-de-Claix.
About you
Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction. Proven experience in a similar role in an industrial environment, on construction sites or remediation projects.
External contractors’ safety training: Chemical Risk Level 2 required.
Competencies:

General knowledge of safety and environmental standards and procedures .

Strong knowledge of risk prevention regulations, specifically for rope access work, working at height, and complex lifting operations (advanced knowledge required).

Knowledge of health, safety, and working conditions regulations; regulations related to closed and independent construction sites (per Decree 94) are required.

About the compensation
Attractive and fair compensation for all: salary is determined within a range to support your development in the role. The expected base salary for this role is €53,000 – €67,000 per year in France.
Your final compensation may be higher or lower depending on your skills and experience. In addition, we offer a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
