R&I Project Manager Hair Care

We are looking for: 
In the Home & Personal Care application lab in Aubervilliers, you will be in charge of managing global innovation projects, global sales technical support projects, and scouting activities for the Hair Care segment. This job is targeting a senior scientist with a strong technical background in Beauty Care products and formulations, with experience in the Hair Care Industry. 
 

We count on you for: 

As R&I project manager Hair Care, your main missions are to :

• Build and enrich formulation expertise, for all types of hair and product formats (shampoos, conditioners, leave-on, treatments…)
• Identify innovative solutions, economically viable and technically adapted for our Hair Care roadmap
• Build scientific understanding of key problems and technical routes to address unmet needs of Hair Care market
• Push our innovations to customers and build knowledge of their internal development processes to maximize launches success
• Develop an expertise in hair sensorial assessment (if not already the case)
• Define, organize and control the technical actions needed to identify the solutions and how to market them, as well as the means to implement them (resources, budget, technical)
• Identify IP protection opportunities and threats for all new developments or product improvements
• Being aware of the regulatory constraints in place in the cosmetic application, and interact with our regulatory team to anticipate issues
• Contribute to the scientific and technical watch on the Hair Care segment
• Manage a team of lab technicians and accompany them in their professional evolution
• Use digital collaborative tools on a daily manner and participate to their growth
• Day to day interactions with technical teams, BDMs, sales people, customers
• Be open to travels, to meet customers and participate in seminars or trainings to customers, distributors, internal teams (<10%)

You will bring: 

• A scientific background with a degree Engineer, or PhD, academic… in chemistry or physics or physical-chemistry
• Min. 10 years of experience in the development of new products or solutions in Research & Innovation
• Min. 5 years of experience in Personal Care industry
• A deep understanding of on hair science,and related raw materials and formulation
• As well as a solid knowledge of methods to evaluate efficacy of hair formulations
• Solid skills in innovation project management 
• Skills in Skin Care is appreciated
• Creativity and demonstration of a spirit of initiative 
• Ability to manage and drive a team
• Ease of communication english (written and spoken), and preferably in French as well
• Capacity to collaborate, create adhesion and social bonding
• Support and push digitization initiatives, and use digital tools to share info and knowledge
