We are looking for :
The Global Product Steward is responsible for advising, steering and implementing product stewardship regulatory strategy for Novecare’s Agro market unit. It will involve working closely with Novecare Agro market leaders and innovation managers to plan and deliver the regulatory and product registration needs associated with the Agro product portfolio and innovation pipeline. 

 

We count on you to:

  • Manage Product Stewardship activities associated with Novecare’s global agro portfolio. Providing a single point of contact for various activities in the agro R&I, and market teams. 
  • Complete regulatory assessments for new and existing products in the agro portfolio, to enable agro products to be marketed to required global regulatory and safety standards. 
  • Assess and manage the risks of products throughout their lifecycle as an integral part of overall business strategy. 
  • Work closely with R&I and marketing teams to provide regulatory input into innovation and market growth projects. 
  • Monitor and drive regulatory customer request responses via CRM tool
  • Oversee and manage the global registration strategy, (incl. coformulant approvals, EPA inert approvals, organic farming listing etc.) safety testing, timelines and budgets for new and existing products in the agro portfolio. 
  • Monitor and alert the agro management team to emerging global regulations that may impact the portfolio. Works closely with the agro management team to develop regulatory strategy plans to adapt and address emerging global regulations. 
  • Provide training to the agro team on regulatory matters. 
  • Represent Product Stewardship in meetings with regulatory personnel of agro Key Accounts when required for communicating around regulatory topics.
  • Provide stakeholders with an optimum perspective between regulatory compliance and added value, compatible with Group policy and procedures.
  • Ensure that R&I projects for the market portfolio have been assessed for regulatory compliance for each Wego stage, and that registrations needed have been identified, planned and actioned. 
  • Provide regular updates to the market unit leaders on emerging regulation impacting the market portfolio, and prepare the portfolio for implementation. 
  • Follow customer requests and work to ensure that KPI for customer regulatory response is address for the market unit.  Support the market with input and outreach in key account meetings on regulatory topics.
  • Ensure that regulatory risks for IPS market (inc sensitive uses) are reviewed and addressed. 

 

The Global Product Steward - Agro will also support some regional activities of the EMEA compliance team.  In particular, this role will also support the Plant protection product (PPP) registration work needed to support Technology solutions fumigation business. 

 

To be successful in this role, you'll be a naturally strong expert with good attention to detail who is able to work independently. You’ll use your technical background in regulatory affairs to prepare regulatory dossiers and advise and advocate on regulatory strategy. 


You will bring:

  • A post-graduate tertiary qualification, preferably in a science or engineering subject.
  • Prior experience or understanding of regulatory affairs and/or a strong technical knowledge of agricultural chemicals is essential for this role.  
  • Experience in EU regulatory systems involving agricultural products would be beneficial. 
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders at different technical levels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to effectively communicate regulatory requirements and strategies.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Highly motivated, results driven with unyielding predisposition to detail, accuracy and clarity.
  • Performs duties with the highest ethical standards, exercising sound judgement.
  • Understanding of chemistry in order to translate new (or considered) developments into existing (or to be requested) CAS/EC numbers.
  • Acquainted with SAP, ability to quickly master new database tools from service providers (eg. 3E , Chemical Watch, Decernis) to perform approval status searches
  • Acquainted with external (public) services as ECHA, EU, US and National Legislation services etc.
