About the role
Our Business Intelligence team, composed of 6 people, acts as a pivotal strategic partner at the heart of our Global Business Unit's commercial strategy. We provide the critical market, competitor, and customer analysis that shapes the future of our businesses.
As a Business Intelligence Data Analyst intern, you will design and build data solutions that enhance our market intelligence capabilities in addition to delivering ad-hoc analysis on competition and market dynamics. This role offers a unique opportunity to see how your analytical work directly contributes to strategic decision-making and has a positive impact on the global soda ash and bicarbonate businesses.
You will be accountable for:
- Develop BI Solutions: Design, develop, and maintain automated market intelligence databases and interactive dashboards in Power BI to track key performance indicators.Analyze Market Dynamics: Analyze and forecast global soda ash supply and demand by interpreting market data, monitoring the economic environment, and modeling future scenarios.Conduct Strategic Research: Perform deep-dive analyses on specific end-markets, key customers, and competitor activities to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Evaluate Performance: Conduct customer and product profitability analysis to support commercial target setting and strategic planning.
- Deliver Insights: Synthesize complex data into clear, concise reports and presentations, providing actionable insights to support ad-hoc requests from senior leadership.
We offer an internship (6 months) contract based on site.
About you
Relevant education degree or equivalent in a Master Degree quantitative field such as Engineering, Economics, Finance or Business Administration.Relevant work experience in data analysis or market research is a plus.
Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency Microsoft Suite, specifically in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling).
- VBA is a plusExperience with a data visualization tool like Power BI is a strong plus.
- Data management and mining skills. Financial background is a plus.
- Fluent in English.

About the pay and benefits
Internship compensation between €800 and €1200 depends on your level of education.
