​About the role

  • Our Process Engineer team, composed of 4 people, is integrated in the technical department and focuses on process and technology management  in collaboration with production and safety department.

  • As a Process Engineer, you will work on defining and managing industrial projects, developing process improvement programs, and implementing new products in the industrial process to support the growth and transformation of our company. You will get the opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions and have a positive impact on the competitiveness of Solvay within the chemical domain.

  • You will be accountable for:

    • Defining and managing industrial projects, cooperating with design and commercial teams to determine project feasibility and economic value.

    • Managing assigned projects or sub - projects under supervision, taking corrective actions when necessary and supervising projects by others.

    • Developing and implementing process improvement programs, following up on scientific and technological developments.

    • Continuously researching innovative approaches, developing proposals for process improvement, and supporting manufacturing excellence programs.

    • Supporting compliance with HSE regulations, quality standards and company policies while ensuring your own activities respect these rules..

  • We offer a fixed-term (3 years) contract based on onsite working mode.

 

About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in chemistry or chemical engineering with bachelor or master degree.

  • Relevant work experience in chemical plant process or production, with 3 years or above preferred, Hydrogen peroxide plant and international entities working experience also preferred; excellent fresh graduates are also welcome..

  • Competencies:

    • Good HSE and Quality awareness.

    • Knowledge of OEE.

    • Familiarity with hazard chemical process control, production control and PHA (JSA, Hazop, etc.).

    • Project experience (preferred).

  • Behaviors:

    • Collaboration with the team.

    • Good communication in English(mandatory).

 

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the China(Zhenjiang) base pay reasonably expected for this role is 134,820 to 168,525 CNY, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
