About the role 

Tainan site is a joint venture (JV) between Shinkong and Solvay (called Shinsol), operated by Solvay as part of Solvay's Global Business Unit (GBU) Peroxides. This GBU is a leading supplier of products based on hydrogen peroxide. 

The Tainan site produces electronic grade hydrogen peroxide. Electronic grade hydrogen peroxide is used in semiconductor manufacturing in Taiwan. 

As Plant Manager of Tainan site, you will work on leading all Health, Safety and Environmental activities, managing the production of hydrogen peroxide electronic grade, and setting and achieving KPI targets to support the overall operational excellence and strategic growth of the Tainan site. You will get the opportunity to contribute to improving the site's performance through new projects and implementing sustainability and digital roadmaps and have a positive impact on safety, manufacturing cost and quality. You will be accountable for: 

• Operational Supervision: Oversee daily plant operations with focus on KPIs such as HSE, Quality, RFT, Yield, and Quantity 

• Personnel Management: Lead, coach, and develop plant personnel to ensure high performance and engagement 

• Reporting: Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on site operations, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives 

• Safety & Compliance: Implement and monitor HSE programs, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate standards 

• Quality Assurance: Drive ISO 9001 system adherence, continuous improvement, and certification readiness 

• Excellence & Efficiency: Execute Operational Excellence activities (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) to improve productivity and reduce waste 

• Technical Projects: Lead Capex projects, technical upgrades, and Management of Change (MOC) execution 

• Budget & Cost Control: Manage site budgets, optimize resource allocation, and ensure cost-effective operations 

• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison with corporate leadership, regulatory bodies, and external partners 

• Emergency Preparedness: Ensure site readiness for emergency response, crisis management, and business continuity 

• Sustainability: Promote environmental stewardship and energy efficiency initiatives aligned with corporate sustainability goals 

• We offer a permanent contract based on on-site working mode. 

About you 

Master’s degree or above in Chemical Engineering with relevant industrial experience, and a strong leadership focus. Minimum 10 years in chemical plants with proven plant/site supervision experience. Proficiency in Mandarin and English (both written and spoken) is required.

• • HSE and Risk Management Expertise. Operational Leadership and Process Management.  

• • Technical Acumen (Peroxides Production). Strategic Planning & Execution. Industry Knowledge: Experience in Semiconductor/Electronics industry is a plus 

• • Quality Systems: Knowledge of ISO 9001; experience with certification audits is advantageous
