Beauty Care Technical Leader

We are looking for: 

• A creative and passionate research leader who is experienced in the Beauty Care research field to deliver solutions, develop new products in Asia.

We count on you for:

• Lead the regional beautycare (skincare and haircare)  activities to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions that respond to customers needs. 
• Lead beautycare new product development in region and technical transfer from global to region.  
• Define beautycare innovation approach in collaboration with global marketing/regional business development team.
• Lead Asia including China, Japan and Korea customer projects and support customer visits and events. 
• Develop new chemistries and take the lead of new beautycare product collaboration with technology team and business development team, in alignment with global agenda. 
• Lead regional open innovation beautycare projects to identify technologies, adding new products into beautycare portfolio.
• Proactively contribute to new product development, new formulations,ideas for beauty products, taking lead of new product development, new  for Asia Pacific.
• Project execution: Daily project management interfacing with different stakeholders in the lifetime of projects.  
• Working closely with the sales & marketing & business development team to proactively support new business development activities and deliver innovations to customers/ key end users, generate market needs or market pull-through for sustainable business growth.
• Provide technical support/product training to customers, distributors’ and sales within territory including China, Japan, Korea. Responsible for line technical issues and coordinate customer's complaint to ensure each problem solved timely and successfully
• Localize global formulation chassis to fit local customers’ sensory and technical needs, adapting formulation based on local trends.
• Harmonize and prioritize technical standards and requirements cross lines and teams
• Communicate and exchange technology know-how with other regions.
• Follow and handle customer complaints.

You will bring: 

• Master degree or above in chemistry or related, Doctor degree is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant working experience for master’s degree or 5 years’ experience for doctor degree in personal care industry. At least 3 years of team management experience. Excellent English skills both oral and written.
• Open, communicative personality.
• Knowledge & understanding of cosmetic market trends.
• Self-motivated - Initiates appropriate actions and follows through without prompting or close supervision
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Capabilities in organizing customer events- international/domestic study tours, seminars or innovation interactions, outstanding presentation skills.
• Demonstrated experience in transforming knowledge into business opportunities
• Willingness to travel more than 40% of working time
