About the role

 

  • Our Devnya Procurement team, composed of 6 people, is integrated into the Solvay Procurement Function and focuses on procurement of goods and services in collaboration with different Devnya site teams and following Solvay Procurement governance and process.
  • As a Site Procurement Manager, you will work on the purchasing and ordering activities of all goods and services to support the key site stakeholders. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the site spending and supplier baseline optimization and have a positive impact on the site’s financial performance.
  • You will be accountable for:
    • Spend Analysis and identification of internal customers’ needs based on a good understanding of their goals and challenges, developing the most appropriate sustainable, technical, and economical solutions, and formalizing these specifications in an appropriate format (RFI, RFP).
    • Negotiating price and contract terms and managing purchase orders and contracts within your authority limits to capture market opportunities while ensuring adequate buying channels.
    • Managing suppliers to maintain relationships with key suppliers and ensure quality, safety, and compliance with our Code of Business Integrity.
    • Promoting sustainable sourcing practices and developments.
    • People management - ability to manage and motivate people, coach and empower them, and guide them in their personal and career development.
    • Performance of the procurement team including monitoring key performance targets, and accountability for total spending and saving targets.
  • We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.

 

About you

 

  • University degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or other relevant discipline.
  • Similar work experience of a minimum of 3 years in industrial settings, particularly at a plant, and at least 10 years in procurement roles.
  • Technical background is an advantage.
