About the role

• Our Project team for LATAM (Latin America), composed of growing engineering professionals, is integrated in the Group Engineering and Construction (GEC) department and focuses on engineering and delivering capital investment projects in collaboration with engineering contractors and Solvay business units.
• As a Project Coordinator, you will work on coordinating assigned industrial investment projects, interfacing with Business Unit management, and reporting progress to the Steering Committee to support Solvay’s manufacturing facilities. You will get the opportunity to contribute to end-to-end project execution and have a positive impact on Solvay’s capital project outcomes and organizational growth.
• You will be accountable for:
  • Project Safety & Compliance: Ensure safety implementation during design, execution, and construction phases, in alignment with site practices and corporate policies.
  • Scope Definition & Engineering Coordination: Define project scope in early FEL stages and coordinate engineering studies.
  • Resource & Contract Management: Manage EPCM and construction service contracts and associated resources.
  • Lifecycle Oversight & Delivery: Oversee the full project lifecycle—costs, schedule, team activities, and stakeholder communication—while delivering scope aligned with safety, regulatory compliance, budget, and timeline.
  • Performance Monitoring & Best Practices: Monitor and report progress on key metrics and apply capital project best practices such as constructability reviews, risk analysis, and change control to ensure consistent execution.
• We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode. Office location: Paulínia, Brazil Travel: Approximately 20%, mainly within Brazil, with occasional international travel depending on project scope and phase.

About you

• Relevant education degree (MSc / BSc) or equivalent in Engineering. Preferred degrees in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. 
• PMP or Project Management certification is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial capital project management (USD 15-35 million) and working with international project teams.
• Competencies:
  
  • Project & Technical Expertise: Managing project objectives, schedules, and constraints; defining capital projects, business case justification, budgeting, and documentation
  • Engineering & Safety Knowledge: Construction and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) experience; understanding engineering design sequencing and integration for construction delivery
  • Leadership & Communication Skills: Experience managing engineering teams and EPCM contractors; fluent command of the English language

About the pay and benefits

• Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Brazil) base pay reasonably expected for this role is yearly  R$ 262.000 to R$ 327.000 (with 30% Hazard Pay and 13o salary included) plus variable pay based on performance, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
