Mid Level Production Engineer

About the role

Our Production team, composed of 78 people, is integrated in the Polyamide & Intermediates department and focuses on Adipic Acid, Nitric Acid and HMD production, in collaboration with Process, Maintenance & Reliability, Supply and Logistic teams.

As a Production Engineer, you will work within the daily production routine to support the industrial team in making strategic decisions. You will get the opportunity to identify industrial improvements, develop industrial team´s technical knowledge and have a positive impact on Safety, Quality and Production performance indicators (KPIs). You will be accountable for:

• Execute and ensure adherence to the production plan, managing industrial units and proactively identifying, correcting, and preventing process deviations.
• Strengthen the operational team by providing training, identifying technical competency gaps, and supporting team development.
• Optimize production processes and plant performance by monitoring key indicators such as specific consumption, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), emissions, quality, MTAR (mechanical turnarount), LTAR (lost time accident rate), and Process Safety Incidents (PSIs), driving improvements in costs, quality, and productivity.
• Propose and lead continuous improvement studies and projects focused on operational efficiency, environmental impact reduction, and occupational and process safety.
• Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration with Technical, Safety, Procurement, Utilities, Supply Chain, Quality, and Administrative departments, while leading or facilitating investigations related to occupational accidents, process safety incidents, and customer or internal complaints.

We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.

About you

Relevant education degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering. Relevant work experience in Industrial Production or Process Engineering.

Competencies:

• Process Engineering & Optimization: Unit Operations, Mass & Energy Balance, P&ID diagrams (Piping and Instrumentation diagram), and Process Optimization.
• Performance & Management: Industrial KPIs, data systems analysis, and management methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis ).
• Strategic & Communication Skills: Strategic vision and proficiency in English

About the pay

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is: R$ 146.000 - R$ 182.500 per year in Brazil (with hazard pay and 13th salary included)

Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
