Treasury Operations Global Manager

We are looking for:

• As a Treasury Operations Global Manager, reporting to the Syensqo Head of International Treasury, you will:
  • proactively manage and coordinate the execution of treasury operations in all regions, leading a worldwide team;
  • monitor the Syensqo In-House-Bank activities;
  • provide expertise and support in the tactical execution of treasury management activities (cash management & banking, payments execution and financial / currency risk management);
  • develop and administer all Treasury internal and external tools (banking platforms, Treasury Management System, SWIFTNet, 360T, ...).

We count on you to:

Manage a team of Operations Treasurers (USA, Brazil, Portugal, China & Thailand), with the following responsibilities:

Syensqo In-House Bank (IHB) management

• Payment and Collection activities on behalf of Syensqo affiliates
• Maintenance and continued expansion of payment factory and A/R factoring
• Provide technical and functional support to the Group entities regarding IHB questions
• Internal bank accounts follow up including interests calculation

Cash & Forex Management

• Cash release to banks requested by Corporate Treasury and other departments
• Ensure trades are successfully instructed and acknowledged: check, authorize, record & confirm trades, settlement instructions in strict respect of currencies cut-off times
• Check FX exposure & counterparty risks with the respect to the limits set by Risk Management
• Daily bank account reconciliations

Bank accounts optimization

• Implementation of cash concentration, and pooling structures following liquidity optimization schemes defined by the International Treasury
• Preserve optimized banks and accounts landscape, identifying and deploying rationalization opportunities in the EMEA region, when appropriate
• Review fees statements & follow up on fees discrepancies with contracts

Treasury Projects

• Participate in Group transformation projects impacting Treasury (ERP Rebuild)
• Implement a Business Continuity Plan with our main banks
• Other projects delivery in the Treasury Scope

Tools & Bank Account Management

• Supervise the Tools & Bank Account Management team
• Ensure proper administration and compliance of Tresury tools and POAs
• Maintain and develop Treasury tools

Other responsibilities

• Compliance of Treasury operations with group governance, global & local regulation
• Maintain up-to-date and enhance the Group Treasury Operating Manual, and Standard Operating Procedures related to the activities under the responsibility
• Manage back-office activities for Commodities Hedging
• Manage the team in charge of bank account maintenance, Treasury tools maintenance and development, compliance and POAs
• Follow-up internal controls in scope

You will bring:

• Master's degree in Finance/Business Administration
• 7 to 10 years experience in treasury operations with a large Corporate or within a banking environment
• Solid understanding of international business involving multi-currency transactions, and familiarity with the requirements and complexities of global payment transactions
• Awareness and interest in banking technologies (Swift, Digital, new payment types…)
• Fluent in English, other languages (Portuguese, French…) is considered an advantage
• Expert-level skills in Microsoft/Google Suites. Strong knowledge of SAP, Treasury Management Systems, Bank Account Management tools, Payment platforms, and Swift environment.
