Job Overview and Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Packaging Engineer Specialist.  Packaging lines are automated for the filling and packaging of Solvay products, the job is mainly related to solid handling including pharma & food grades of products.

The Packaging engineer is an expert on packaging lines equipment and provides support to develop, buy & maintain Group solid handling, targeting appropriate ergonomics – regulatory compliance - safety - required availability and cost-effective solutions.

Major mission challenges:

• Within a week after the on-boarding process, you will apply your best machine expertise to reach the required reliability, availability & maintainability for our customers with no compromise on safety.
   
• After a mentoring period of 1 month, you will manage yourself multiple projects simultaneously and you will optimize the packaging lines in strong collaboration with the production: process engineers, supply chain & logistics specialists.
   
• Agile and collaborative, you are immediately efficient to enter into multidisciplinary teams to create more value from the assets, to propose innovative packaging concepts and develop pro-active safety design.
   
• Within 6 months, you will play a key role in the knowledge management while pro-actively integrate the team learnings related to the packaging lines and you will qualify suppliers for pharma & food grades.
   
• Customer focused, you will be able to boost your field expertise while providing support to plants, and your analytical mindset will be a strong competence to solve any problems within the shortest time (from 1 day to 3 weeks for the more complex issues).
   
• On a monthly base, you will create synthetic reports about major activities and you will be responsible to promote progress plan for assets reliability using state of the art packaging technologies.
