About the role
Our Legal Projects, Operations and Centers of Excellence department is integrated in the General Counsel (GC) team, composed of 10 people. Reporting directly to the GC Leadership Team member being the Senior Legal Director - Legal Projects, Operations and Centers of Excellence.
As a Legal Counsel Projects and Operations, you will work on defining project scope, setting out the legal direction of projects, and assessing risks to support the Group’s legal projects across areas such as energy and corporate. You will get the opportunity to contribute to negotiation and approval of legal documents, provide legal advice and have a positive impact on the digitalisation and harmonisation of the GC Function. You will be accountable for:

Defining the project scope and setting out the legal direction of projects

Assessing risks and acting as a central point of communication with stakeholders

Negotiating and approving legal documents and agreements

Giving legal advice and supporting GC Function team members in legal projects

Collaborating with the Legal Operations team to implement and improve project management systems and processes, and identify areas for improvement of the GC Function
We offer a permanent contract based on hybrid working mode.
About you
A Master's degree in Law is required. Relevant experience of a minimum of 5 years in legal practice, ideally gained in a top-tier law firm or solid private practice background, followed by in-house experience in an international environment working across jurisdictions.

About the pay
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is €122,640 - € 153,300 per year in Belgium.
Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
