About the role
Our Internal Audit team, composed of 7 professionals from diverse nationalities,reporting directly to Solvay's CFO and Audit Committee. The Internal Audit team focuses on auditing Solvay’s corporate functions and worldwide manufacturing plants.
As an Internal Auditor, you will work on audit assignments, risk assessments, and process improvements to support Solvay Group’s objectives. You will get the opportunity to contribute to global operational insights and have a positive impact on business performance and governance.
You will be accountable for:
- Understanding Solvay’s activities and inherent operational risks
- Identifying risks related to audited entities or processes and defining the audit approach
- Ensuring the application and deployment of Solvay’s policies and procedures
- Performing tests to ensure that risk-mitigating controls are effective
- Assessing potential risks linked to inefficient or missing processes and procedures
- Issuing pertinent and value-adding recommendations to the Group
- Contributing and sharing best practices across Solvay
We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode with regular international travel (20–30%).
About you
Relevant education degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or Science. A Master’s degree is preferred. Relevant work experience in Big 4 external audit or internal audit (minimum 3 years) or operational experience in industry (R&I, finance, controlling, supply chain, manufacturing, etc., minimum 4 years).

- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact at all organizational levels with tact and professionalism
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French, Portuguese, Spanish, or German is a valuable asset
- Experience with digitalization of processes and/or data analytics

About the pay
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is €73,000 - €92,000 per year in Belgium.
Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
