About the Role

 

As an innovative and highly motivated catalysis researcher, you will join our dedicated Research & Development team, composed of 7 people, integrated in the Technology Process Development Department. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the GBU Peroxides strategy through the development and deployment of catalyst improvements. 

This critical role is centered on the discovery and development of materials and processes essential for realizing our next-generation AO technology. You will drive research efforts from concept validation through initial process development until industrialization.


You will be accountable for : 


•    Responsible for the design, synthesis, and characterization of catalytic materials and synthesis processes critical to the manufacture of H2O2. This role involves hypothesis-driven research, hands-on laboratory work, data analysis, and documentation to transition new discoveries from the lab bench to scalable production.
•    Design and execute experiments to synthesize, modify, and optimize materials for the target application. Assess the scalability and economic viability of new chemical processes.
•    Utilize/read advanced analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, BET…) to characterize and evaluate the chemical, physical, and performance properties of new compounds/processes.
•    Develop and refine experimental protocols, ensuring high standards of safety and reproducibility.
•    Conduct in-depth literature reviews and maintain a current understanding of scientific advancements and competitive intellectual property (IP). Contribute to the drafting of patent applications and scientific publications.
•    Rigorously record, organize, and analyze experimental data.
•    Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and invention disclosures, clearly communicating research findings and recommendations to the team and management.
•    Maintain strict adherence to all laboratory safety regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control guidelines. Respect and actively apply the HSE rules and housekeeping practices.
•    Collaborate with strategic partnerships, external companies, academia, and technology providers to drive innovation.
•    Design and develop lab/pilot facilities and technology transfer capabilities to ensure the successful implementation of new technology.
 
We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.

 

About you

 

Master or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with R&D experience in lab environment. Heterogeneous catalysis background is a must.

 

Competencies:

 

  • Understanding of chemical reaction engineering and process design principles.
  • Ability to assess and mitigate safety risks associated with new chemical processes.
  • English proficiency, knowledge of other languages is a plus.

About the pay 


 
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is 65200€ – 88500€ per year.
Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
